Camberwell High School has been involved in the Victorian Department of Education's International Student Program since 1996, and currently accommodates students in Years 7 to 12. Since the start of the Program, students have come from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Indonesia, Germany, Vietnam, Korea and South Africa, Brazil, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia. - Students are assisted with placement in homestay accommodation, which is regularly monitored to ensure that students are happy in their placement.
- Students are met personally at the airport by a Program staff member and transported to accommodation
- Regular contact is maintained with students' families, guardians and homestay providers
- Students' progress is carefully monitored through small group sessions and regular individual interviews.
- Workshops and extra classes are held to address the particular needs of International students
- Close liaison with English Language Schools is maintained whilst students are attending intensive English courses.
- Social activities are arranged each term.
