Enrolment Information

Discover what you need to know to become a part of the Camberwell High School community. Enrolment enquiries are welcomed.

As a government school, Camberwell High School has a defined zone. Our designated area can be viewed on Find my school.

We adhere to the enrolment priorities set out by the Department of Education and Training. Placement is based on:

  • Students for whom Camberwell High School is the nearest neighbourhood school
  • Students who reside permanently with a sibling attending the school
  • Where the regional director has restricted the enrolment, students who reside nearest the school
  • Students seeking enrolment on specific curriculum grounds
  • Students in order of proximity of their home to the school.

Going to a school outside your zone

You have the choice to seek enrolment at a school that is not your local school. Your child may be offered a place if the school has sufficient accommodation.

Year 7 Applications

All Year 7 applications are made through the student’s primary school during Grade 6, facilitated by the primary school.

For the Grade 6 to Year 7 transition timeline please see the application timeline process.

Years 8-12 Applications

There are 3 steps to successful enrolment at Camberwell High School:

  1. Complete an  Application to Enrol Form.
  2.  Upon receipt with supporting documentation, you will be contacted by a member of the Junior/Senior School regarding availability of a place and the offer of an interview, which is conditional based on vacancies at the relevant year level.
  3. If a place is offered, an invitation to complete an Application Form will be provided to finalise enrolment.
